Staff Highlight:

Adam & Judi Leseur, Owners

Adam and Judi moved to Southport in November 2021 and set about looking for a way to become a part of the local community. Along came Island Bicycles. The shop has enjoyed a long, established reputation in quality bicycle sales, service and rentals. It is our goal to continue providing helpful, friendly and reliable sales, repair service and rentals to our cycling community. Island Bicycles is now not only an Authorized Electra Retailer but has also become an Authorized Trek Retailer. We are proud and honored to represent two of the best brands in bicycling, satisfying both the comfort/cruiser market and the avid mountain, hybrid and road bike market. Along with this relationship comes a catalog of the finest accessories and we are expanding our nutrition and hydration offerings. In addition, we are pleased to launch this new website that offers you an interactive way to see and shop our inventory in-store and available through our vendor relationships. We have also added a new feature on rental page of the website to reserve our well-maintained fleet of Electra, single-speed, coaster-brake cruisers.

Adam is from Bermuda and Judi from the Centennial State of Colorado. This relationship of great extremes has enjoyed seeing their three, now adult boys, through years of competitive freestyle mogul skiing in Colorado. All retired, competition took them around the globe from the Australian National Championships, to World Cups in Ruka - Finland, Thaiwoo - China, Mont Tremblant - Canada and Deer Valley - Utah.  Adam comes from a long line of hoteliers and has wrapped up a 35 year career in hospitality and private clubs. Judi has just as many years in premier retail operations and is an avid tennis player.

We look forward to welcoming riders of every level into the shop to see our expansive offerings of bicycles, accessories and meet our experienced sales and service staff. We will get you out riding whether its serious or seriously fun.
